So. The name’s David. I’ve discovered No Mr Nice Guy when I was 19, after a few years of reading and trying to apply personal growth techniques as well as pick-up stuff. It was one of the most fundamental book that made me who I am today. Other very important work followed. You wouldn’t believe how far I’ve come; and I realized by writing this that it’s been 10 years since I first read NMMNG.

I still have a lot to work on (it never really ends), but now I work on myself out of love, not out of fear (at least as far as I can tell). Example of work to do would include improving my social and dating skills, as well as achieving two other more “unique” goals, including the goal of owning land, and living (mostly) of it. Finding my really great woman, raising kids, having some kind of positive impact in the world, achieving my purpose, etc.

I have already started working on all of these, and if you want to spend hours talking permaculture, I’m your guy !

Finally, on a less “ideal” notes, I’ve struggled in the past with:

  • Video-game addiction (It’s been 5 years without any kind of game)
  • Porn addiction (this one is “under control”; however big stressors can push me toward it)
  • Wanting to do too many things at the same time
  • Not applying what I know works
  • Deeper emotional problems, which I am still working on and uncovering
