Gratitude Challenge

If you can’t be grateful for what you already have…

Some great teachers that I’ve had along my journey have all said something similar. If you can’t be grateful for what you already have in your life, it doesn’t matter what the Universe gives you, you will find ways to not be grateful. The fact is, if you are reading this, you have some kind of device that costs you money and is connected to the internet. That already is amazing. When we wake up in the Western World, we start our day with more than most people on this planet.

Taking ownership of one’s own happiness.

Starting our mornings proactively instead of reactively gets our day off to an incredible start. Deciding to feel the joy of all that is around you and everything you have will start you down a path for the day, which turns into a week and then a month. We have this power to see everything we have or encounter as a spiritual gift or a curse. We decide. We choose.

Let’s build our gratitude muscle!

Imagine after a month, realizing that you have always made it through tough times and came out stronger on the other side. That things in your life are always working out for you. And that the Universe is happening for you, not to you. We have the ability to change our mindset, to change the way we see everything that happens to us and to feel truly blessed by being alive at this time!

In this Challenge we will:

  • Daily: Keep a small book on your bedside table and each morning write three things you are grateful for (5 min).
  • Write a gratitude letter to a past mentor or teacher. It doesn’t matter if you are still in contact with the person you choose.
  • Count how many things you can find to be grateful for in each room of your home. See just how many things your kitchen has itself.
  • Savor receiving thanks. Notice if you are better at thanking than you are at being thanked.
  • Take a daily photo of something you are grateful for and post to the group.
  • Keep a gratitude jar.
  • Express gratitude to at least one important person in your life.
  • Engage in a random act of kindness.
  • Call someone you are thinking about today.
  • Write down five things that you like about yourself.

About the Facilitator

The Challenge will be facilitated by Coach Kevin Gault.

As like all of us, I have had challenging times. I’ve been through a big depression after losing some of my favourite people in my life. But I can truly look back at that depression and be grateful for it as it showed me I was not living life the way that I truly wanted to live. I want to live this life fully! To put a dent in the cosmos! To pierce this world with my open heart!

Come join me on this challenge and let’s live everyday like it is the best day we will ever have!
